Product workflows
A practical map of the day-to-day workflows product, catalog, support, and e-commerce teams use in PartGrid.
Dashboard concepts
PartGrid organizes work around companies, schematics, parts, categories, collections, quote requests, and integrations. Companies hold settings; schematics and parts form the interactive customer experience; collections and integrations decide where that experience is shown.
Manual review
Manual review is used when source PDFs include many page types. Reviewers classify pages, crop schematic regions, inspect BOM rows, and promote ready pages into schematics.
- Use page classification to separate schematics, BOM pages, and unrelated pages.
- Adjust crop and BOM layout regions before creating products or linking existing parts.
- Promote reviewed pages so downstream schematic workflows can detect numbers and link parts.
Schematics and parts
Schematics are customer-facing diagrams. Parts are the products customers inspect, add to cart, or request quotes for. The strongest experience comes from clean reference-number detection and complete part data.
Collections and embeds
Collections group public schematics into a browsable customer experience. Use the collection guides to assign schematics, choose a category scope, configure pricing, and prepare the collection for customers. The Embed guide explains how to place the resulting iframe and use its supported routes.
Quotes and integrations
Quote management lets teams receive and respond to customer quote requests from embeds. Integrations such as Shopware connect native storefront categories and products to PartGrid-managed schematic experiences.
Troubleshooting
No parts show in an embed
Confirm the schematic is public and parts are linked to detected reference numbers.
A category looks wrong in Shopware
Sync categories again and verify the schematic is attached to a native category, not a platform-managed child.
Quotes cannot be submitted
Check that quote management is enabled for the company and that the embed uses the expected public route.
Styling is inconsistent
Review embed theme assignment and confirm runtime theme variables are returned for the schematic or collection.
