Translate schematic names
Export schematic names to XLSX, add translations for supported languages, and import the completed file.
Before you start
Open All schematics. Your role needs permission to export schematic data to download the file and permission to import schematic data to upload the completed translations.
The export includes one name column for every language supported by your company.
1. Export the names
Choose Export names. PartGrid downloads schematic_names.xlsx with the current schematic identifiers, uploaded filenames, current names, and a name_ column for each supported language.
2. Complete the language columns
Keep the uuid column unchanged. Enter the translated schematic name in each required name_ column.
The uploaded_filename and current_name columns help you identify each schematic. They are not used to change the schematic during import.

3. Import the completed file
Return to All schematics and choose Import names. Select the edited .xlsx file and choose Import names.
4. Review the result
The result reports how many rows were updated, skipped, or could not be matched. A row is reported as missing when its uuid does not belong to a schematic in the current company.
Switch to the affected language and review the names in All schematics and in the customer-facing preview.
