Review BOM rows and part matches
Check extracted BOM rows, correct source data, and connect references to parts in your catalogue.
Use the BOM Review Table
After a BOM layout has been saved, the BOM Review Table shows the extracted rows. Review the Ref, Part Number, Qty, Description, Status, and Product fields before promotion or final link review.
Filter rows by status
Use the available filters to focus on rows that need a specific action.
- Existing: Rows with a possible existing catalogue part.
- Linked: Rows already connected to a product.
- Missing product: Rows without a suitable catalogue product.
- Low confidence: Rows that need closer review.
- Issues: Rows with incomplete or conflicting information.
- Ignored: Rows intentionally excluded from the workflow.
Correct BOM rows
Choose Edit to correct extracted values such as the reference, part number, quantity, or description. Use Ignore for rows that should not become part links, and Restore when an ignored row should return to review.
Link or create parts
A suggested existing part is not treated as the final linked product until you confirm it. Choose Link Existing to connect the BOM row to a catalogue part. Choose Create Product when the part does not yet exist and your role allows product creation.
Refresh matches after corrections
Use Refresh matches after changing important row values or after adding products to the catalogue. Review the updated suggestions and confirm the intended links.
Compare BOM references with diagram labels
After the page has been promoted, Link Review compares BOM references with the labels detected on the schematic. Use it to find missing diagram references, BOM rows without a corresponding hotspot, or labels that still need a part connection.
Ready for the next step
- Relevant BOM rows contain the correct reference and part number.
- Rows that should not be used are ignored.
- Existing products are explicitly linked.
- Missing products have been created or intentionally left for later.
- The promoted schematic is available for Link Review.
- Diagram references and BOM references have been checked for gaps.
