Organize and delete categories

Select the required root category and use Search categories to search names and descriptions within that tree.

Matching categories remain visible together with the parent branches needed to locate them.

Use the arrow beside a category to show or hide its subcategories. Root categories are selected separately from the Root category list.

Drag a category onto the category that should become its new parent.

The moved category becomes a subcategory of the target category. Its existing subcategories move with it.

You cannot move a category into one of its own descendants.

Select the delete icon beside the category and confirm the deletion.

Deleting a category also deletes its subcategories and removes those category assignments from schematics. It does not delete the schematics themselves.

Select the required root category and use the delete button beside the Root category selector.

The complete root tree and its subcategories are removed after confirmation.

Categories managed by an integration cannot be moved, renamed, created, or deleted from PartGrid.
