Create and send an offer
Build an offer from a customer request or create a direct offer and send it from the Quote Requests workspace.
Before you start
Quote management must be enabled for the active company, and your role must allow you to create or manage quotes.
Start from a request or create a direct offer
Open Quote Requests. To respond to a customer request, open the request and select Build offer. To start without an existing request, select Create offer.
Add customer details
Enter the customer name and email address. Add phone, company, VAT number, message, shipping address, expiration date, and currency when they apply to the offer.
Add parts
Search for parts by part number, add the required items, and adjust each quantity. At least one part is required.
Review pricing
Review the unit prices, subtotal, VAT, quote discount, shipping, and total. Add a unit price to every price-on-request item before sending the offer.
Save or send
Select Save draft when the offer is not ready for the customer. Select Create and send, or Save and send while editing a draft, to send the offer by email.
Optional review and approval
If your team uses a review or approval step, move the offer through Review and Approved before sending. The available actions depend on your role.
After sending
The quote detail page shows whether the customer opened the offer. You can copy the customer link, resend the email, download the offer document, or mark completed work as Completed.
Customer response
The customer opens the personal quote page and can accept or reject the offer while it has the Sent status. An expired offer is no longer valid. See the quote lifecycle for the full sequence of statuses.
