Configure collection pricing rules
Create collection-specific pricing rules, target all parts or a part group, and preview the resulting prices before use.
What collection pricing changes
Collection pricing rules calculate a collection-specific price from the available source price. They do not change the underlying catalogue price.
Create a rule
Open a collection, go to Collection pricing rules, and choose Add rule.
Configure the pricing rule
- Enter a Name and optional Description.
- Under Applies to part group, choose All parts in this collection or a specific part group.
- Set the Priority. Rules are applied from the lowest priority number to the highest.
- Keep Use in this collection enabled when the rule should apply immediately.
- Add optional Starts and Ends values for a limited validity window.
- Build the Formula with one or more steps.
- Choose Preview and review representative results.
- Choose Save rule.
Supported formula steps
- Markup % increases the source price by a percentage.
- Discount % reduces the source price by a percentage.
- Add amount adds a fixed amount.
- Subtract amount subtracts a fixed amount.
- Minimum price prevents the result from falling below a value.
- Maximum price prevents the result from exceeding a value.
- Round rounds the result to the selected precision or price ending.
Target all parts or a part group
Choose All parts in this collection for a collection-wide rule. Select a part group when the rule should apply only to matching parts within this collection. See Organize parts with groups for group setup.
Priority and overlapping rules
Rules are evaluated from the lowest priority number to the highest. Use Move earlier or Move later to change the order. PartGrid shows an Overlap warning when active rules target the same parts during an overlapping time window.
Preview a rule
Choose Preview while creating or editing a rule, or use the preview action on a saved rule. The price preview shows matched parts, source prices, calculated prices, and an Explain action for the calculation details.
Manage existing rules
Choose Edit to change a saved rule. Turn off Use in this collection to keep the rule without applying it, or choose Delete to remove the assignment. Use Refresh after external price or part-group changes.
