Review and correct schematic references

Open a Processed schematic from All schematics or from its upload batch. Your role needs permission to view and edit the schematic.

A reference is the numbered label and overlay that connects a location in the diagram to one or more catalogue parts.

Compare every detected label and bounding box with the source diagram. Check for incorrect labels, misplaced boxes, false detections, and duplicate references. Keep Show Overlays enabled while reviewing the diagram.

Use Search References or Parts to find a reference by its label or by linked part information. Select Only show unlinked references to focus on references that still need a part connection. Selecting a result highlights its overlay in the diagram.

Enable Manual Point Mode, select the overlay, change its label when needed, and drag it to the correct position. Choose Save to keep the changes. A manually saved reference is marked as corrected.

Enable Manual Point Mode and draw a bounding box around the missing label. Enter the reference number, choose Save, and confirm that the new overlay appears in the correct position.

Select the incorrect overlay and choose Remove. Removing an overlay deletes the part links stored on that overlay, but it does not delete the shared parts from your catalogue. When another overlay uses the same label, its synchronized links remain available on the remaining overlay.

The reference list groups overlays by label. For overlays with the same label, PartGrid keeps linked parts, quantities, notes, and the primary selection in sync. Compare every occurrence with the source diagram before deciding that a repeated label is an incorrect duplicate.

Use Only show unlinked references as a final check. When all required references are correct, link the catalogue parts and confirm their quantities.
