Manage schematic collections

A collection packages customer-facing schematics into one browsable experience. It determines which public schematics and category branches appear together, while the linked parts remain managed in the shared parts catalogue.

The main collection uses the company's public schematics. A custom collection uses public schematics assigned to that collection. When a root category is selected, PartGrid limits the customer experience to that category and its descendants and omits branches without matching schematics.

A collection has a translated name and description, a visibility setting, and an optional root category. It can also use collection pricing rules, embed customization, approved domains, and dealer distribution where those features are available.

Viewing, creating, editing, deleting, and assigning collections use separate permissions. Some plans provide only the main collection, while plans with multiple-collection access allow additional custom collections.
